Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhtar today said the government is very cordial to ensure rehabilitation of the persons who were injured in July-August mass uprising.
"The interim government was established through the sacrifices of thousands of young martyrs, following a historic mass uprising," she told reporters after exchanging views with scientists and officials of Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute (BLRI) here.
She said, "We want to work for the welfare of the country and its people."
In the meeting, Farida said the BLRI should play an active role in conservation of extinct breed of animals.
The adviser said if we can improve the livestock quality, it will automatically boost egg and meat production within the country.
Joint secretary of the ministry Shahina Ferdowsi was present at the meeting as special guest with BLRI DG Dr Shakila Faruque in the chair.
Later, the adviser visited different research centers and firms.
